Our Managing Director, Ms. Annie Chan, together with Mr. Ben Chan, Legal Counsel, were invited by the Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors in Hong Kong to deliver a presentation to its members on the topic “How to Handle Inspections and Investigations from Regulators” on 2 September 2025.
The event was well-received, drawing over 150 participants.
During the session, Ms. Chan provided practical guidance on managing inspections and investigations conducted by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC). Her presentation covered the regulators’ respective roles, investigative powers, procedures, and the potential sanctions imposed by the AFRC. To enhance understanding, she illustrated key points using real-life cases, offering participants valuable insights into how such scenarios unfold in practice.
