Our Managing Director, Ms. Annie Chan, together with Mr. Daniel Chow, Senior Managing Director of FTI Consulting, were invited by the University of London Hong Kong Alumni Network to deliver a talk on the topic “How Forensic Accounting and Investigations Reveal the Hidden Dark Side of the World” on 8 September 2026. There were over 60 alumni and guests who attended the event.
During the session, Ms. Chan explained how forensic accountants work with lawyers and regulators to resolve problems for clients. She also provided practical guidance on forensic accounting and fraud investigations including the red flags of fraud and shared her experience in acting as expert witness in Court as well as provided tips for barristers / lawyers when working with experts.
Annie also shared her war stories in forensic investigations relating to listed companies, financial institutions, uncovering facts, and root causes of fraud/irregularities, helping clients and assisting regulators in uncovering fraudulent schemes.
